Arden Youth Choir to sing for England!

PENDLE girls choir the Arden Youth Choir has been chosen to perform at a spectacular opening ceremony for WorldSkills London 2011 - the world’s largest international skills competition.

The choir is looking forward to performing on the famous O2 Arena stage which has hosted stars including Elton John, Bon Jovi, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

Held in London on October 4th, the opening ceremony will be a spectacular start to the competition, showcasing some of the UK’s most talented and skilled performers.

Susan Eames, founder and conductor of the Arden Youth Choir, also known as the Arden Angels, said: “I am absolutely thrilled the girls have been selected to sing on such an internationally prestigious stage. The girls are really excited and are very proud to be representing England and Pendle.

“The opening ceremony will showcase to the world some of the best young performers from across the UK and the Arden Angels is no exception”, said Jeremy Lankshear, head of ceremonies at WorldSkills London 2011.
