Your children’s creative talents will blossom this summer thanks to two new workshops.

First up is Young Mechanics, a free group for young people age 12 to 19.

The sessions will help blossoming artists in their creative journeys as they develop an array of skills, including writing, spoken word, photography and music.

Next up is the summer school.

This week-long event offers an exciting range of art activities with professional artists.

Children aged seven to 11 will spend the week discovering skills in drama, music, dance, craft and visual arts, as well as building their confidence and making new friends.

There will be a mini exhibition allowing participants to showcase their achievements to family and friends.

It will take place from 3-30 to 4pm on Friday, August 10th.

Some free or subsidised places are available. Contact the venue for more details.

Young Mechanics: Wednesdays, 4-30 - 6pm. Entry by £2.50 donation.

Activity Week: Monday to Friday, August 6th to 10th, 10am to 4pm. Cost: £70 for the week, including daily lunch. Book: 01282 664400; burnleymechanics@burnleyleisure.co.uk
