Feast on a banquet of farcical fun next week when Colne Dramatic Society opens its new season with a bang.
Bernard’s plans to spend a romantic evening with his mistress fall apart in Don’t Dress for Dinner when his wife cancels her weekend away.
An evening as messy as a food fight unfolds as the three characters find themselves in a tangle of comedy, romance and chaos, along with Bernard’s best friend, Robert, and a hired chef.
And making sure every spoonful of laughter is squeezed out of the show is John Mills, the experienced director leading the production’s formidable cast.
Audiences will be pleased to see some familiar faces on stage: Steve Cooke (Bernard); Viv Mill (Jacqueline); Jim Staton (Robert); Claire Conboy (Suzette); Jackie Williamson (Suzanne); and Paul Thomson (George).
The show can be seen at The Little Theatre, River Street, Colne, from Monday to Saturday, at 7-30pm nightly.
Tickets are priced at £7 each for the Monday or Tuesday performance and £7.50 from Wednesday to Saturday.
They can be booked via the theatre answerphone on 01282 861424 and the bookings desk is open at Colne Library tomorrow from 11am to 1pm.
