An emotional storm will shower down on audiences when Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Company turns up the heat with a staging of rock musical, Rent.
This spine-tingling production tells of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive in New York City and plagued by the shadow of HIV/Aids.
With music, book and lyrics by Jonathan Larson, it is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera, La Boheme.
Casting a dark picture of downtrodden society while also radiating with love, warmth and hope, it’s no wonder this stunning show has continued to rock audiences around the globe since its official opening in 1996.
Rent, which has adult content, will be presented at the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre, New Market Street, Colne, from Tuesday to Saturday, September 19th to 23rd, with performances beginning at 7-30pm each night.
Seats can be booked at a price of £12 per adult, £10 for concessions and £8 for under 19s.
