It’s full steam ahead for model train enthusiasts who should travel to Padiham for the ever-popular 20th annual Big Model Railway Exhibition.

Padiham’s Nazareth Unitarian Church hall and schoolrooms (in Knight Hill next to Memorial Park) are the venue for the exhibition on Saturday November 4th from 10am to 4pm.

Organiser Barry Brown said: “This year’s Gauge 1 layout will be bigger than ever with a new extended track featuring live steam, radio-controlled locomotives on display.

“There will also other layouts and static engines and some powered by compressed air. Plus, there will be a children’s Playmobil area where they can operate all these at no extra cost. Finally there will be trade stands with some real bargains.
